Job Description:

Pivot Precision is a privately owned (ISO 9001:2015 certified/climate controlled) machine shop located in Lockport NY. Our extensive manufacturing capabilities along with our highly qualified workforce has allowed Pivot to supply the automotive, medical, ammunition and firearm industries with specified precision tooling for over 50 years. We are currently seeking Join an OL Grinder to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in crafting high-quality components, utilizing your expertise to operate and maintain grinding machinery.
Job Responsibilities - Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision parts and instruments. - Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine grinding procedures and parameters. - Select appropriate grinding wheels, attachments, and accessories based on specifications. - Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances. - Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. - Record production data and maintain accurate logs of finished products. - Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment. - Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to grinding operations and machinery.Job Requirements - Experienced in operating an OL Grinder or similar machinery. - Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics. - Strong understanding of grinding wheel specifications and tool adjustments. - Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment. - Excellent attention to detail and precision in work. - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. - Strong communication skills for team collaboration. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime as needed.
