Lead Applied Scientist IR NLP

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Lead Applied Scientist specializing in Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing.

Key Responsibilities

Innovate and deliver AI solutions as a technical leader
Accountable for all research deliverables and provide input on long-term AI strategy
Mentor and coach other scientists and engineers on best practices

Required Qualifications

PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's with comparable experience
7+ years of hands-on experience building IR/NLP systems for commercial applications
Experience writing production code and managing software delivery
Demonstrable experience translating complex problems into AI applications
Publications in relevant venues such as ACL, EMNLP, or NeurIPS preferred
