Job Title: Level 2 RN ICU Stepdown Job Specialty: Med/Surg RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Rotating Schedule (Day/Evening/Night) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: - Two years of Stepdown/PCU experience - High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience - Telemetry experience License: NY RN License Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Stepdown/PCU experience Job Description: - Provide competent care based on established standards. - Assume expanded responsibilities, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member roles. - Conduct Q1 Neuro Checks and manage EVDs, lumbar drains, and sub-dural drains. - Administer and manage 3% NS solutions and cardene drips. - Monitor and maintain arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, and aneurysm coil/clips. - Participate in DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator) procedures. - Fulfill rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as required.
