• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient care and safety.
• Conduct regular assessments of nursing staff competencies and identify opportunities for professional development and training.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and facility policies to ensure high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, analyzing patient care outcomes and implementing strategies for enhancement.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical practice and decision-making.
• Facilitate communication among nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to promote collaborative patient care.
• Assist in budgeting and resource management for the nursing department, ensuring cost-effective care delivery.
• Support the Director of Nursing in strategic planning, program development, and the implementation of nursing initiatives.
• Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed. Candidate requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality assurance standards, and best practices in nursing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire nursing staff.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology.
